ScholARTS Preparatory and Career Center for Children, or "The Joy School", includes grades Kindergarten through 12 and creates learning adventures through arts and academics that will motivate children to achieve their maximum potential, become lifelong learners, and productive members of their communities. At ScholARTS, "Every child is a Scholar and a Star". We aim to increase literacy and graduation rates!

Too many of Columbus school children do not complete high school. The evidence shows that children must be motivated and exposed to rich and rigorous educational experiences long before they begin high school if they are to complete high school.

We integrate arts and academics in order to keep children motivated and actively engaged in learning. This includes children from all racial and socioeconomic groups; rich, poor, gifted, and challenged children. To us, every child is a Scholar and a Star. And each child is required to respect the safe, caring and comfortable environment in our schools.

The elementary grades K-4 expose young children to a wide variety of career options.

The upper grades 5-12 prepare early adolescents for success in high school.
