Mission Statement
During the elementary years, we aim to increase academic achievement, develop a community of scholars using the arts, and expose young children to a variety of options through an age-appropriate literacy-based career center.

Focus
At the elementary level we welcome children into a small, caring, inclusive environment enrolling a maximum of 50 children per grade level K-4. We focus on literacy and exposing young children to diverse career options in order to motivate children to love learning and stay in school until they complete high school. Research-based, and data-driven, this innovative elementary school will decrease the achievement gap between urban and majority youngsters and discipline problems as it prepares children for the future.

Goals
The long-term goal is for each youngster to eventually graduate from high school. We aim to motivate and empower youngsters to pursue learning and stay in school by exposing them to the arts and a variety of exciting career options that require them to complete their education.

Educational Program
We supplement our arts-based academic curriculum with a literacy based career education program, our Career Center for Children.

Curriculum
We adopt fine and performing arts, phonics, and inclusion special education practices for use in a constructivist, integrative curriculum. Constructivist education builds on a child's knowledge base and expands that base in ways that are relevant to the child. An integrative curriculum is one in which families contribute to curriculum development.
A rigorous academic curriculum including mathematics, science, reading, and citizenship will be enhanced through the arts and hands-on projects. The arts will be integrated throughout the academic curriculum as well as supplemented in arts classes.
Character-based life skills that reinforce our core values will be taught.
